As I’ve been putting together our upcoming conference, Confidence to Overcome, I’ve been thinking a lot about real life examples of people who have been able to face incredible storms knowing that God is walking beside them through it.
One of these examples is Rose Lokwang, a dear friend of mine who was kind enough to sit down with me for a short interview about her life.
Rose is one of The Lost Girls of Sudan. She is one of thousands of refugees who fled the horrible violence of war torn Sudan for the safety of the Kaukama refugee camp in Kenya, back in the 1990s.
She did well enough in the refugee camp schools that she was chosen to emigrate to Boulder, Colorado in 2006. We met soon after, and I saw right away that Rose was something special. Not only was she intelligent and hardworking, as you’ll soon find out, but she was also exceptionally optimistic and just fun to be around.
I’m excited for you to meet her…
